Pata Pata Reimagined
Miriam Makeba is the first Grammy-winning artist from Africa. Her music was the anthem of the youth that inspired change in South Africa during apartheid. The lyrics of one of Mama Africa's iconic songs, Pata Pata, speaks of “we change”. It was in this ode to change that Bain’s Whisky, a proudly South African whisky, world-renowned for pushing boundaries, set out to reimagine Pata Pata by bringing Mama Africa back to stage for one final performance, remastered with up and coming artists for a new audience. An opportunity to re-create the future whilst paying homage to the past.
